Position Overview:
DTS is seeking a skilled Automation Test Engineer specializing in mobile applications for a pivotal role within our organization.

Key Competencies:
- Proficient in Mobile Test Automation utilizing tools such as Appium, Espresso, and XCUITest.
- Familiarity with Mobile Device Clouds including BrowserStack, Perfecto, and SauceLabs.
- Strong coding abilities in JavaScript.

Technical Expertise:
- Experience with Android Studios/Mocha and XCUI Test (iOS).
- Knowledge of technologies such as GitLab, Bit Rise, REST APIs, Stubbing/Mocking, Docker, and AWS concepts.
- Proficient in using qTest for Test Case Management and JIRA for Agile Project Management.
- Familiarity with Confluence and various Test Automation frameworks including Pytest and nodeJS.
- Experience with device clouds like Browserstack, Perfecto, and SauceLabs, along with knowledge of Detox testing tools is advantageous.

Daily Responsibilities:
- Engage in Agile ceremonies and execute testing duties within the agile team, which includes crafting and executing test cases, as well as identifying, logging, and managing defects.
- Collaborate closely with Tech Leads and Product Owners to automate test cases on both Android and iOS platforms based on business priorities.
- Contribute to the enhancement of frameworks by developing robust, effective, and reusable components.
- Conduct root-cause analysis to identify and rectify gaps leading to production defect leakage.
- Work alongside the Product Engineering team to assess business requirements and assist in defining acceptance criteria for developing features.
- Define testing approaches for each phase: unit, component, and system, while maximizing code and test coverage.
- Collaborate with API developers and DevOps engineers to provide ongoing feedback for continuous improvement of the testing strategy.
- Enhance the test bed and create tests that reveal defects prior to any fixes being attempted.
- Implement shift-left testing practices within sprint teams to align with organizational goals as we modernize our platform.
- Adhere to coding standards and best practices to ensure the highest quality of testing.
- Support pre and post-release activities by participating in QA tasks as scheduled.
- Engage in testing tool evaluation activities to continuously assess and improve the testing strategy.
- Maintain a solid understanding of QA workflows and best practices in test automation.

Essential Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in developing automated tests for mobile applications.
- At least 5 years of experience in breaking down user stories and requirements to create both manual and automated tests in an Agile setting.
- Proficient in JavaScript and Object-Oriented Programming.
- Extensive experience in Mobile Test Automation using tools such as Appium, Espresso, and XCUITest.
- Hands-on experience with Mobile Device Clouds like BrowserStack, Perfecto, and SauceLabs.
- Preferred experience with IDEs such as VSCode, IntelliJ, and Eclipse.

Additional Skills:
- Familiarity with BitBucket, GIT, Jenkins, Maven, Docker, and uDeploy.
- Working knowledge of Automated Test Driven Development (ATDD) or Test Driven Development (TDD).
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Experience:
- Experience in an Agile Development environment.
- Hands-on experience with continuous testing in CI/CD pipelines.
- Background in working within an offshore-onshore model.
- Experience as a Software Quality Engineer in the Banking domain.
- Hands-on experience in Accessibility testing of Mobile applications.
- Proficiency in JavaScript and Python.
- Demonstrated ability to innovate by developing test automation solutions and utilities.
