Role Summary:

The Marketing and Sales Coordinator plays a pivotal role in supporting the dynamic and innovative sales and marketing team within the Highlights Books and Consumer Products division. This position involves tracking project specifics, crafting presentations, managing sales and marketing design initiatives, assisting with trade shows and event execution, organizing media and account mailings, and more. The coordinator will participate in engaging team meetings and client interactions, gaining invaluable experience in project management, marketing, and sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support, including scheduling meetings, coordinating mailings, and tracking budgets.
  • Develop presentations to assist the sales and marketing team.
  • Support the execution of trade shows and consumer events.
  • Maintain and update lists of accounts, reviewers, and sales representatives for effective mailings and communications.
  • Oversee the inventory of the book library and manage orders for restocking and new titles.
  • Distribute books and catalogs to accounts as required.
  • Coordinate departmental reporting, including marketing and sales reports, POS reports, and more.
  • Master all internal systems and software relevant to the role.

  • Show competence in MyHouse, STAR, Airtable, and other essential internal systems.
  • Gain an understanding of the roles and responsibilities within the sales and marketing team.
  • Comprehend the long-term objectives of the department and the overall business strategy.

Within Your First Year, You Will:

  • Develop robust project management skills.
  • Understand the workflow of the sales and marketing team.
  • Gain insights into the broader Highlights business.
  • Establish strong, productive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in Consumer Products; experience in the book industry is preferred.
  • An Associate or Bachelor's degree in liberal arts, Communication, or Business is preferred.
  • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software is essential.
  • Experience supporting Sales and Marketing teams is required.
  • Experience in managing and tracking various data sets.

Physical Requirements:
