Job Overview

The Food Services Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of the Food and Nutrition department. This role includes managing meal preparation and delivery, ensuring cleanliness, and providing employee training.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fosters the goals of the Food & Dining Services department by recruiting, inspiring, and training skilled team members.
  • Guides the culinary team members in their tasks, ensuring alignment with departmental objectives through effective communication.
  • Manages the hiring, training, disciplinary actions, and performance evaluations of staff members.
  • Organizes, schedules, assigns, and monitors tasks to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Guarantees the prompt delivery of meals, snacks, and late trays to patients.
  • Educates staff on the proper operation of equipment and sanitation practices; ensures compliance with established protocols and reports any equipment issues to management.
  • Conducts sanitation audits for designated areas as required; documents meal testing outcomes and addresses any deficiencies.
  • Engages in departmental kitchen Performance Improvement initiatives and suggests workflow and system enhancements as needed.
  • Oversees the culinary aspects of catering for special events, including ordering, production, preparation, and cleanup.
  • Addresses customer feedback and communicates findings to management.
  • May handle cash management responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Preferred: Associate's Degree or a combination of 4-6 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Required: Current Food Service Manager Certification, along with any specialized certifications as necessary.
  • Required: 4-6 years of pertinent experience and 0-2 years of leadership or management experience.

Salary Information
The salary range for this position is $58,500-$75,012/year. This range is a good faith estimate of potential base compensation for a successful applicant at the time of this job advertisement and may be adjusted in the future. Various factors may influence the determination of a team member's base salary, including location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget, and internal equity.
