The Manager/Director, Business Development; Biologics Discovery Services is an integral part of the Cura team, contributing to our success by identifying, quantifying and capturing new business opportunities for our R&D services to pharma markets to grow our existing business. This position reports into the Senior Director of Business Development, Discovery and Development.
Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development professional to join our team as a Senior Business Development Manager. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of identifying and securing new business opportunities in the life sciences industry.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing business strategies to drive revenue growth, identify new customers, and expand existing customer relationships.
The role involves working closely with internal stakeholders, including sales, marketing, and technical teams, to develop and implement sales and marketing plans that meet business objectives.
The Senior Business Development Manager will also be responsible for preparing and delivering presentations, proposals, and quotes to potential customers, negotiating agreements of sale or purchase orders, and preparing visit reports and inputting data to maintain prospective databases/CRM.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. A strong understanding of the life sciences industry and its trends, as well as experience in business development, would be advantageous.
