About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Account Executive II to join our Global Commercial Operations Sales team. As a Life Science Instrument Specialist, you will be responsible for selling our genomics and proteomics large instruments and consumables to academic and government customers in the NYC/North NJ area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a territory sales plan to achieve sales goals
  • Promote and sell the Bio-Rad equipment portfolio and accompanying consumable workflows
  • Build, manage, and grow the sales opportunity funnel via CRM
  • Identify, nurture, and grow sales opportunities
  • Manage and meet customer deadlines
  • Partner and communicate with regional sales team to ensure achievement of territory sales goals
  • Proactively update CRM on a daily basis
  • Communicate with regional manager on activities, market trends, opportunities, and forecast
  • Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills within Bio-Rad and externally with customers
Requirements
  • Education: BA/BS (required), MS/PhD (preferred)
  • Work Experience: 3-5 years of sales experience with a strong focus on selling both Genomics and/or Proteomics capital equipment & consumables portfolios preferred
  • Previous experience selling to academic and government customers preferred
  • Candidate must demonstrate scientific understanding and fluency in the areas we serve with our product portfolio
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills (Verbal & Written)
  • Highly motivated with a demonstrated record of success
  • Strong knowledge of the genomics and proteomics research space
  • Excellent interpersonal skills Developed analytical skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office
