We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director to lead the Duke Technology Scholars Program (DTech) into the future. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving a compelling vision and strategy in conjunction with OIT, Trinity College of Arts & Sciences, and Pratt School of Engineering leadership.
About the RoleThe Executive Director will be responsible for advancing DTech's mission by driving a compelling vision and strategy in conjunction with OIT, Trinity College of Arts & Sciences, and Pratt School of Engineering leadership. This includes managing operations for all DTech programs, providing leadership to DTech staff, overseeing program finances, and building and sustaining the network of individuals and companies who support DTech.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to advance DTech's mission and goals.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of DTech, including program development, budgeting, and staff supervision.
- Provide leadership and guidance to DTech staff, including defining roles, coordinating team activities, and investing in the development of team members.
- Oversee program finances, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Build and sustain relationships with key stakeholders, including OIT, Trinity College of Arts & Sciences, and Pratt School of Engineering leadership.
- Identify, evaluate, and pursue new opportunities to further increase DTech's impact.
- BA or BS degree, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
- At least five years of experience in a relevant role, preferably in a technical or educational setting.
- Previous supervisory experience managing a student-focused program or similar initiative.
- Preferred:
- Experience working in a technical role or overseeing people in technical roles.
- Experience managing technical recruitment programs.
- Masters or PhD degree in a field relevant to DTech.
