At the Department of Developmental Services, we are seeking a skilled Psychiatric Technician Assistant to join our team. As a Psychiatric Technician Assistant, you will provide general behavioral training and psychiatric nursing care to individuals with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities experiencing an acute crisis.

Job Summary:

The Psychiatric Technician Assistant will work in a 24/7 staffed home environment, providing person-centered support and crisis stabilization to individuals. The successful candidate will be responsible for engaging individuals with a wide range of interests, modeling safe and healthy living behaviors, and providing cross-training to community home staff or family to maintain continuity of care.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide general behavioral training and psychiatric nursing care to individuals with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities
  • Engage individuals with a wide range of interests and model safe and healthy living behaviors
  • Provide cross-training to community home staff or family to maintain continuity of care
  • Maintain credentials in required of a Psychiatric Technician Assistant license and attend required trainings
Requirements:
  • Valid California Drivers License (CDL)
  • Pass a Drug Screening
  • Pass a Background Investigation
  • Certified Nurse Assistant Certificate
