Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Seasonal Customer Service Team Member to join our team at Michaels Stores. As a key member of our sales floor team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring a seamless shopping experience, and maintaining a well-merchandised store environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist customers in finding products, providing solutions, and ensuring a fast and friendly checkout experience.
  • Engage customers on the benefits of our Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards, and complete enrollments as needed.
  • Educate customers on our Voice of Customer (VOC) survey and encourage participation.
  • Assist with Omni-channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
  • Participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes to maintain a well-merchandised store environment.
  • Responsible for completing merchandise recovery and maintenance, including the merchandise return/go back process and general store recovery.
  • Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned.
  • Support shrink and safety programs, adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs.
  • Interact with colleagues in an accepting and respectful manner, remaining positive and respectful even in difficult situations.
  • Cross-trained in Custom Framing selling and production.
Requirements:
  • Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
  • Ability to remain standing for long periods, move throughout the store, and perform regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
  • Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.
Work Environment:
  • Public retail store setting with climate-controlled areas and some outdoor work.
  • Frame shop contains glass cutter and heat press.
  • Work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings.
