Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the recruitment, orientation, training, and evaluation of team members.
  • Monitor employee performance and provide constructive feedback through established processes.
  • Ensure the kitchen is secured, with all equipment powered down and doors locked at the end of the shift.
  • Implement sanitation and infection control measures to maintain a clean and safe care environment.
  • Coordinate meal service for patients during assigned shifts, ensuring trays are accurate and visually appealing.
  • Plan and manage the cafeteria menu.
  • Ensure timely cafeteria operations, maintain service quality, engage with customers for satisfaction, and address any issues promptly.
  • Complete staff scheduling as required; maintain logs for food safety, refrigeration, and dishwashing, and accurately record meal counts and inventory.
  • Adhere to and enforce all sanitation and safety regulations.
  • Report any employee, patient, or visitor injuries or safety concerns to the supervisor.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and organizational policies related to the role.
  • Perform administrative tasks as assigned.
Minimum Education Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
Minimum Certification Requirements:
  • ServSafe certification required or to be obtained within the first year of employment.
Minimum Experience Requirements:
  • Relevant supervisory experience or a degree in a food service specialty.
Minimum Skills Required:
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Degree in a food service specialty.
  • Experience in healthcare food service.
  • Familiarity with electronic tray ticket systems (e.g., CBORD, Computriton).
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Capable of repetitive bending and squatting.
  • Reach above shoulder level repetitively.
  • Perform repetitive actions with both hands.
  • Engage in simple grasping tasks.
  • Push and pull a maximum force of 25 lbs.
  • Utilize both feet for repetitive actions.

  • Potential exposure to blood and body fluids.
