- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to provide a seamless guest experience.
- Establish and maintain inventory and ordering systems to reduce waste and control costs.
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with food suppliers.
- Inspire and motivate kitchen staff to uphold high performance and productivity levels.
- Continuously seek opportunities to enhance kitchen operations, including implementing cost control measures.
- Create work schedules for kitchen staff, adjusting as necessary to meet business demands and financial objectives.
- Ensure compliance with health department standards, maintaining superior cleanliness and sanitation throughout the kitchen.
- Act as a liaison between kitchen and front-of-house teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Provide training and support to front-of-house staff regarding menu knowledge and dietary requirements.
- Minimum of 1 year of proven experience as a Culinary Operations Supervisor or in a similar capacity within a full-service restaurant.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and standards; Serve Safe certification preferred.
- Demonstrated culinary skills with the ability to lead, develop, and inspire staff.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment while effectively delegating responsibilities.
- Experience managing payroll and scheduling is essential.
- Understanding of food costs and capability to conduct and evaluate restaurant inventory.
- Proficient in computer usage with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to lift and carry items up to 40 lbs. and push/pull items up to 75 lbs.
- Capacity to stand or walk for extended periods, with frequent bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching overhead.
- Skilled in using culinary tools (knives, commercial equipment, etc.) and possessing good taste and smell.
