Position Overview:
IABA is currently looking for Part-Time Behavioral Support Specialists.

Sign-On Bonus: $650

As a Behavioral Support Specialist, you will assist individuals with intellectual disabilities in reaching their personal objectives by offering tailored support and guidance. Ideal candidates will exhibit integrity and respect while fostering a positive demeanor and maintaining a professional work ethic.

Work Schedule:
The role requires some availability during evenings and weekends, with hours varying by case.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and instruct support staff on teaching methodologies.
- Engage in the execution of individual behavior support strategies.
- Create a cohesive curriculum.
- Conduct site visits.
- Perform additional tasks as needed.

Locations:
We are looking for candidates to serve various areas.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in special education, psychology, social work, or a related discipline.
- Excellent communication abilities.
- Proficient in report writing.
- Experience managing challenging behaviors in settings involving intellectual disabilities and mental health.

Requirements:
- Reliable vehicle.
- Valid CA Driver’s License.
- Current car insurance.
- First Aid/CPR certification.
- Successful completion of a Live Scan.
- Capability to physically assist clients who may require mobility support (e.g., wheelchair transfers, walking assistance).
- Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination requirements, with consideration for reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals.
