JOB TITLE: Senior Aviation Maintenance Technician - Day Shift

COMPENSATION: $36.04 per hour

Position Details:

  • Contract duration of 12 months with potential for extension.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Execute a range of aircraft modifications and maintenance tasks, including the removal and installation of airframes, landing gear, engine components, electrical systems, and control mechanisms to ensure compliance with established procedures and specifications.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and servicing of all aircraft mechanical systems.
  • Demonstrate the capability to consistently complete assigned maintenance tasks within the standard timeframes.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to junior technicians.
  • Uphold high-quality standards through mentorship and exemplary conduct.
  • Act in the capacity of Mechanical Team Lead during their absence, assuming relevant responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with the Inspection department to ensure adherence to internal and FAA inspection protocols and documentation standards.
  • Accurately complete work order sign-offs, shift transitions, and other necessary paperwork promptly.
  • Ensure all completed work meets established quality benchmarks and specifications.
  • Properly label customer property and equipment.
  • Securely store aircraft components and customer property.
  • Follow standard operating procedures and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) when utilizing ground support equipment.
  • Operate and supervise the use of specialized support equipment for major component installations and removals.
  • Coordinate aircraft movements as necessary.
  • Assist in training new personnel on the computerized maintenance program, maintenance manuals, and major component maintenance.
  • Work with other departments to arrange for the repair or overhaul of customer property as required.
  • Utilize the material tracking system to generate parts requests and allocate labor to appropriate work orders.
  • Implement 6S and Lean initiatives to maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas.
  • Properly manage the disposal of waste materials, including fuel, oil, hydraulic fluids, and solvents.
  • Apply Lean and continuous improvement methodologies to all responsibilities.
  • Use and maintain company-provided tools and equipment responsibly.
  • Return tools and equipment to designated storage areas after use.
  • May involve flight tests on aircraft as part of certification and final phase testing.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 4 years of aviation maintenance experience, including 3 years working on mid to large-sized aircraft.
  • Experience with corporate aircraft is preferred.
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic Certificate is required.
  • A valid Driver's License is necessary.
  • Advanced understanding of inspection and maintenance protocols for various aircraft models and systems.
  • Proficient knowledge of relevant technical reference materials, including maintenance manuals and structural repair manuals.
  • Familiarity with FAA regulations, process specifications, and company policies is essential.
