Under the direction of the Center Manager, the Physician, and RN, the Medical Assistant (MA) plays a vital role in pre-operation procedures and patient care.
The MA is responsible for assisting the Physician with the cleaning and processing of scopes, accessories, and instruments, ensuring compliance with center policies and manufacturer guidelines.
Duties and Responsibilities- Collect, verify, and file patient medical procedures
- Disinfect flexible endoscopes and accessories according to center policies and procedures
- Prepare operating rooms prior to procedures
- Follow safety guidelines set forth by the center's policies
- Prepare patients for surgical procedures
- Perform other duties as requested or assigned
