Job Summary

The Medication Aide is a vital member of our team at Regal Pointe of East Cobb, responsible for ensuring the safe and effective administration of medication to our Assisted Living residents. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to maintain confidentiality and work collaboratively with our residents, families, and healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise self-administered medication for Assisted Living residents in compliance with Federal and State regulations and SSMG guidelines.
  • Report any changes in resident health and provide proper documentation to the Wellness Director.
  • Respond quickly to emergencies and maintain close communication with all departments and staff members.
  • Provide educational meetings for residents and staff as requested by the Supervisor.
  • Understand and adhere to the Safety and Disaster Plan.
Requirements
  • A High School Diploma or General Education Degree, or one to three months of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Licensed CNA, Home Health Aid, or Personal Care Aid certification, with successful completion of the medication administration training course approved by the Department of Health and Senior Services.
