Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Emory Healthcare. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform patient care and observation duties under the direction of a licensed provider, RN, or LPN.
  • Assist with routine and complex medical assistant clinical duties, including vital sign collection, medication administration, and diagnostic testing.
  • Maintain patient charts and records, ensuring proper identification, documentation, and confidentiality.
  • Support administrative duties, such as patient check-in/out, responding to patient requests, and reinforcing patient education.
Requirements
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Current AHA BLS certification is required for hire and must be maintained throughout employment.
  • Must successfully complete all medical assistant orientation and training requirements, including certification and annual skills competency.
  • Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), or National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) is required.
