Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Physician Assistant to join our team in providing medication-assisted therapy to patients. As a key member of our medical team, you will work in coordination with our doctors to monitor and dispense medication, consult with therapists and other providers to ensure treatment plans are adapted accordingly, and perform client physicals as directed.

Responsibilities
  • Perform client physicals as directed by the Physician
  • Supervise staff and dispensing operations
  • Supervise medication storage and inventory processes and procedures
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate data in patient computer files
  • Coordinate patient care with the PCP or other physician prescribing opiates or other psycho-active medication
  • Consult with counselors and supervisors on individual patient medical/medication needs
  • Conduct H&Ps at intake and annually
  • Participate in case planning and consultation with the lead counselor, facility/executive director, project director, and medical director as needed
Requirements
  • Current DEA Prescription license
  • Licensed in accordance with the laws in the State of employment
  • Maintain continuing education credits as required by the appropriate licensing board
  • Experience or knowledge in the field of drug abuse recommended
  • CPR, First Aid, and BLS certified
