Medication Technician

About Us: At Canterbury Place, we're dedicated to providing exceptional care to our residents. We're seeking a Medication Technician to join our dynamic team on a PRN/Casual basis.
Position Summary: As a Medication Technician, you'll be a vital part of our care team, ensuring the accurate and timely administration of medications to our residents. You'll work alongside our dedicated nursing staff to maintain medication records and provide exceptional support.
Responsibilities:
- Administer medications precisely as prescribed, following all safety protocols and guidelines.
- Maintain accurate medication records and documentation, ensuring the highest level of accuracy and accountability.
- Assist in medication reconciliation: Reconcile medications upon resident admission and discharge, ensuring a smooth transition of care.
- Report any medication errors or adverse reactions to the nursing staff promptly, ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents.
- Participate in medication education programs for residents and their families, promoting understanding and compliance.
- Adhere to all facility policies and procedures related to medication administration, working collaboratively with our team to provide the best possible care.
Qualifications:
- Certified Medication Technician (CMT): Bring your CMT certification to the table, demonstrating your expertise and commitment to patient care.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to keep up with the fast-paced environment of a healthcare facility.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with your team.
