Job Description

Mindful Life Project (MLP) is seeking a Development and Marketing Manager to join our team. This role will be responsible for developing and executing MLP's fundraising plans and strategies, maintaining the organization's grants calendar, and managing full grant application processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute fundraising plans and strategies in collaboration with the Senior Director of Development and Marketing and the Executive Director.
  • Maintain MLP's grants calendar, track due dates and funding cycles, and manage full grant application processes from start to finish.
  • Write and support the writing of development content and communications, including letters of intent/interest, full grant proposals, progress and final reports for foundations, and organizational reports on work and impact.
  • Identify and conduct prospect research on potential individual, foundation, and corporate donors to secure a consistent pipeline of new funding sources.
  • Cultivate relationships with existing donors and initiate relationship-building with new funders through email, phone, Zoom, in-person meetings, and networking events.
  • Conceptualize, plan, implement, oversee, and execute fundraising campaigns and events.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of donor information.
  • Use online design platforms to help visualize data in creative and easy-to-read ways to share program outcomes with donors and other audiences.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in development and marketing, including experience writing grant materials, managing the full process of grant application, and building and maintaining relationships with prospects, donors, and other stakeholders.
  • Superior communications skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to articulate MLP's mission, program work, and strategic plan.
  • Knowledge of and ability to use and train others on development and marketing dashboards and design software.
