Key Responsibilities- CNC Program Development and Management: Develop and maintain CNC programs for various machining operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- DNC System Administration: Administer and maintain our DNC system, ensuring seamless communication between CNC machines and the production team.
- Engineering Support and Troubleshooting: Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to production staff, helping to resolve issues and optimize machining processes.
- Quality Control and Assurance: Conduct quality control checks to ensure parts meet specifications, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with production staff to identify areas for process improvement, and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Experience with CNC Machining: 5+ years of experience working with CNC lathes and mills, and CAM/DNC software.
- Advanced Skills: Advanced skills in Mastercam and Solid Works, as well as experience with precision measurement tools and ERP systems.
- Knowledge of Tooling and Inserts: Knowledge of tooling and inserts, including ability to determine tool wear and prescribe optimal tool selection.
- Mathematical Skills: Strong mathematical skills, including algebra and geometry.
- ISO/AS Quality Systems: Previous experience working in a company with ISO/AS quality systems.
- Tool Setup and Maintenance: Experience with tool setup and maintenance, including ability to calculate tool offsets.
- Training and Coaching: Ability to train and coach production staff on optimal machining practices.
- ERP Systems: Experience with ERP systems, including Epicor.
