Alera Group is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Associate to join their Employee Benefits team. As a Business Development Associate, you will play a critical role in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building relationships with key decision-makers, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prospecting and Lead Generation: Utilize multiple prospecting strategies to identify potential clients and consistently set appointments with qualified decision-makers.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, including functional leadership in Finance, Human Resources, Operations, or within the C-Suite.
  • Collaboration with Senior Producers: Work closely with Senior Producers to identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to pursue them.
  • Business Development: Build your knowledge and understanding of the insurance industry, learn how to effectively convert prospects into long-term clients, and build your own book of business.
  • Performance Metrics: Deliver consistent new meeting activity that meets and exceeds quarterly targets, and maintain excellent activity records in CRM to produce accurate reports and forecasts each month.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree, preferred.
  • Experience: Proven B2B sales and/or business development experience, preferred.
  • Skills: Competitiveness, self-drive, ability to identify high-potential target markets, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
