Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled Regional Sales Manager to join our team and drive revenue growth at two Full Service Hotels. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies, managing client relationships, and driving business results.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue growth and meet budgeted expectations.
  • Manage client relationships, ensuring prompt responses and efficient communication.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager and Revenue Manager to drive revenue growth and ensure alignment with budgeted expectations.
  • Actively seek new and repeat guest room and meeting business through solicitation, cultivating and maintaining a client base comprising key accounts and conventions.
  • Conduct outside sales and solicitation calls to secure business, utilizing site inspections as a tool for booking.
  • Monitor pricing, service levels, facilities, and function activities at competitive venues to maintain the hotel's competitive position.
  • Evaluate potential business opportunities for profitability and overall benefit to the hotel.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skill in upselling clients while maintaining a high level of service aligned with the luxury status of the facility.
  • Coordinate Sales group functions, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of detailed Sales Contracts and Group Resumes.
  • Follow up on group bookings, including room night pick-up, rooming lists, and cut-off dates.
  • Represent the hotel in community affairs and industry-related events.
  • Prepare periodic sales reports and weekly activity reports, encompassing financial booking performance and personal call reports for active solicitation.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two (2) years experience in hotel sales and a proven track record of success.
  • Understand and analyze STAR Data for informed decision-making.
  • Possess an understanding of various market conditions and influencers.
  • Knowledge of selling in multiple market segments including: Corporate, SMERF, and Association.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills combined with computer, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong decision-making capabilities and strategizing skills.

The estimated salary for this role is $80,000 - $105,000 per year, based on industry standards and the complexity of the position.
