Job Summary

The IT User Support Specialist Lead is responsible for leading the day-to-day technical support to employees for a range of hardware and software related systems. This role trains, delegates, and reviews the work of lower-level IT User Support Specialists. The IT User Support Specialist Lead also handles escalated issues that require advanced knowledge of User IT Support operational procedures and tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor lower-level IT User Support Specialists to ensure effective and timely resolution of users' problems, queries, or complaints.
  • Solve escalated issues by utilizing knowledge of hardware, software, operating systems, network configuration, server interaction, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
  • Confer with end-users to resolve incidents and fulfill requests through support via in-person, phone, or remote methods.
  • Install, remove, and configure hardware and software.
  • Ensure plans are in place for responding to situations such as service outages.
  • Assist in hardware and software evaluation and recommend upgrades or improvements to IT infrastructure.
  • Coach team members on addressing user questions and assist with the most complex issues.
Requirements
  • Vocational and/or technical education preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience required; 5+ years preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Sedentary work.
