Overview:


As a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse, you will provide culturally sensitive and holistic nursing care to patients within a clinical environment, aligning with the mission and values of Mercyhealth. Your role will also involve adapting to various units as needed, ensuring that patient care remains a top priority.


Work Schedule:
Hours may vary (Part-time availability)

Clinic operates Monday through Friday, Day Shift, with no weekend obligations.

Key Responsibilities:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Engage in the nursing process while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver optimal patient care.

  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments in compliance with established nursing protocols, policies, and state regulations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with care standards.
  • Develop, initiate, and implement individualized patient care plans as directed by the physician and clinic guidelines, including education for patients and their families.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives within the department or unit, which may involve shared governance.
  • Provide clinical expertise and support to other departments in relation to the patient's ongoing care plan.
  • Utilize critical thinking skills to ensure patient safety and enhance the patient experience, escalating concerns through the appropriate channels.
  • Engage in nursing practice activities and peer review processes within the unit or department.

Education and Experience:
Graduate from an accredited nursing program.

BSN or a commitment to complete a BSN program upon hire. An ADN is required for candidates hired in specific counties. Relevant years of experience may be necessary as per departmental guidelines.

A minimum of 12 months of RN experience is required.

Certification and Licensure:
Must hold a valid RN license in the state of practice.

CPR certification is required within 90 days of hire (additional certifications may be required based on unit needs: ACLS, PALS, PEARS, NRP).

Completion of 10 hours of continuing education is mandatory.

Physical Demands:
The physical demands outlined are essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

While performing the duties of this role, the employee is regularly required to communicate effectively.

The employee frequently stands, walks, and uses hands for various tasks, as well as reaching with arms.

The employee may occasionally sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or engage in other physical activities.

Regular lifting and/or moving of up to 25 pounds is expected, with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
