Overview:


As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in a clinical environment, you will deliver prescribed medical care and personal support to patients, aligning with the nursing philosophy. Responsibilities:
Key Duties and Responsibilities include:

1. Preparing and rooming patients for examinations and procedures.
2. Collecting and documenting patient information in medical records.
3. Assisting with various procedures, examinations, and testing as necessary.
4. Reviewing and discussing physician's orders, lab requests, and follow-up needs with patients.
5. Accurately documenting services rendered in the medical record.
6. Administering patient treatments as prescribed.
7. Monitoring patients and reporting any adverse reactions to medications or treatments to the Registered Nurse (RN).
8. Administering medications in accordance with policy, licensure, and state regulations.
9. Reinforcing patient education provided by healthcare providers and RNs.
10. Offering basic healthcare guidance to patients and their families.
11. Conducting EKGs and simple laboratory tests.
12. Performing venipuncture for blood specimen collection.
13. Participating in quality assurance and improvement initiatives.
14. Managing supply orders.

Education and Experience:
Must be a graduate of an accredited LPN program. Experience in a clinical setting is preferred.

Certification/Licensure:
Must hold a valid LPN license in the state of practice. CPR or BLS certification is required within a specified timeframe. TACT certification is also required within the designated period (as per departmental guidelines).

Special Physical Demands:
This role involves essential physical functions that may require reasonable accommodations. Candidates must possess manual dexterity for operating equipment and assisting with medical procedures. The position necessitates the ability to lift, restrain, and assist patients. Frequent standing, walking, handling, and reaching are required, along with occasional sitting, climbing, and balancing. Vision requirements include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
