Pharmacist Intern

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacist Intern to join our team at the University of Washington Medical Center - Montlake. As a Pharmacist Intern, you will work under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist to perform a variety of technical pharmaceutical functions, including compounding medications, filling medication orders, and preparing compounded sterile products.
Responsibilities:- Perform certified order entry of medication orders into the ambulatory pharmacy computer system.
- Fulfill prescriptions, under the direction of a licensed Pharmacist.
- Utilize ScriptPro Central for filling, labeling, and batching.
- Assist with online processing of prescription orders.
- Provide exceptional patient care and support.
- Determine payment method and assist patients with alternate sources of payment.
- Perform charging and billing functions.
- Assist in preparation of compound pharmaceuticals under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist.
- Refer clinical inquiries requiring a Pharmacist's professional judgment.
- Assist with patient counseling and education.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Six months of experience as a Pharmacy Assistant or equivalent education/experience.
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacist Intern with the Washington State Board of Pharmacy.
