As a Pharmacist Intern, you will work under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist to perform a variety of technical pharmaceutical functions, including compounding medications, filling medication orders, and preparing compounded sterile products.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform certified order entry of medication orders into the ambulatory pharmacy computer system.
  • Fulfill prescriptions, under the direction of a licensed Pharmacist.
  • Utilize ScriptPro Central for filling, labeling, and batching.
  • Assist with online processing of prescription orders.
  • Provide excellent patient service, including assisting patients with new prescriptions and refills.
  • Determine payment method and assist patients with alternate sources of payment.
  • Perform charging and billing functions.
  • Assist in preparation of compound pharmaceuticals under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist.
  • Refer clinical inquiries requiring a Pharmacist's professional judgment.
  • Assist with patient counseling.
  • Discharge medication bedside delivery.
  • Prescription transfers.
Requirements:
  • Six months of experience as a Pharmacy Assistant or equivalent education/experience.
  • Certification as a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacist Intern with the Washington State Board of Pharmacy.
