Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Professional Baking Professor to join our Cuisine department at Clark College. As a part-time instructor, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the art of baking and pastry management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Instruct classes in baking and pastry management, utilizing techniques and knowledge of the discipline to facilitate student learning.
  • Participate in department and college committees to contribute to decision-making processes.
  • Pursue professional development to enhance teaching and learning techniques.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a welcoming and supportive environment for students of diverse backgrounds.
  • Understand and commit to the mission of Clark College.
Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in baking and pastry management or equivalent industry experience.
  • Teaching or industry experience in at least one of the following disciplines: Viennoiserie, Artisan Bread, Cakes and tortes, or Cafe management in a third wave coffee shop.
  • Ability to work well as a member of a team and with people of all ages from academically, culturally, and socioeconomically diverse backgrounds.
What We Offer
  • Lecture hourly rate: $90.47
  • Lab hourly rate: $77.27
