Job Overview

ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Special Education Teacher to join our team for the upcoming school year. This role involves working closely with educators, parents, and specialists to provide personalized support and resources, helping students excel both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students.
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning styles and needs.
  • Use evidence-based practices and innovative technologies to create engaging learning experiences.
  • Regularly assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies for maximum success.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, counselors, and specialists to support student development.
  • Maintain open communication with parents and guardians about their child's progress and goals.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
  • Valid Special Education Teaching License or eligibility for certification.
  • Experience with students who have a range of learning needs and disabilities.
  • Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with assistive technology and adaptive tools.
  • Knowledge of behavior management techniques and positive behavior support strategies.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
