Foster Family Support Specialist Role

The Children’s Village seeks a dedicated Foster Parent Support Specialist to provide crucial support, guidance, and crisis response to caregivers within the FFC Department.
Key Responsibilities:- Act as a liaison between staff and caregivers, offering support that fosters stability in youth placements.
- Contact caregivers to schedule home visits and assess foster homes to identify needs for children in care.
- Provide support, training, and guidance to caregivers to ensure they are equipped to meet the needs of the youth.
- Bachelor's degree in human services or a related field is preferred; High School Diploma/GED is required.
- Experience working with abused and neglected children, or experience working with foster parents, is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Must be well-organized, able to work independently, and make appropriate decisions and judgments regarding assessments, services, and recommendations on child welfare cases.
- Must be willing to work evening hours as needed.
