About the Job

This Caregiver Support Specialist position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities. As a key member of our support team, you will:

  • Provide physical and programmatic aid to clients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being at all times.
  • Aid in daily operations, supporting the Habilitation Specialists in implementing program plans and providing personalized care.
  • Assist with supervision, maintaining close oversight of clients during community outings and activities.
  • Participate in case conferences, contributing to interdisciplinary planning and goal setting.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless communication and coordination across teams.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess:

  • A valid New York State Driver's License, maintained in good standing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective interaction with clients, colleagues, and families.
  • The ability to analyze problems, determine corrective measures, and adapt to changing situations.
