Position Overview

The preferred candidate will be based in one of these locations and will travel to the other as required.

Our firm represents corporate clients, including Global 500 companies, in complex and high-stakes litigation across various jurisdictions. With a team of seasoned trial attorneys, Bowman and Brooke is known for its courtroom expertise and successful outcomes in precedent-setting cases, having tried matters in over 350 courthouses nationwide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with national HR, Finance, IT, Records, and Marketing teams to enforce firm policies and procedures.
  • Lead recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes for the office.
  • Engage in Management by Walking Around (MBWA) to stay informed about team dynamics and foster a supportive environment.
  • Provide coaching and implement disciplinary measures when necessary.
  • Oversee the performance management system for staff and attorneys.
  • Manage budgets, purchasing, and invoice processing efficiently.
  • Ensure optimal facility operations by applying best business practices in resource and service management.
  • Facilitate monthly team meetings to promote education, workflow clarity, and open communication.
  • Maintain consistent communication with local Managing and Co-Managing Partners.
  • Stay updated on local developments and implement strategies to ensure compliance and safety.
  • Oversee all aspects of office events, including team-building activities and staff appreciation initiatives.
  • Travel between assigned locations as necessary.
Qualifications
  • Outstanding management and leadership abilities.
  • Experience in high-pressure environments with demanding client service expectations.
  • Background in property and/or facility management.
  • Legal industry experience is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and project management capabilities.
  • Ability to quickly assess situations and respond effectively.
  • Comfortable interacting with diverse personalities.
  • Empathetic leadership style.
  • Possesses a sense of humor.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Management, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Aderant Expert (CMS) and iManage (document management software) is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in a dynamic law firm setting is required.
  • Experience in human resources is a plus.
  • Membership in the Association of Legal Administrators and participation in local chapters is a plus.
