As a Financial Controller, your responsibilities will include:

· Leading and coordinating all functions of the finance department.

· Supervising Payroll, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Cash Flow, and Contract Administration.

· Planning and managing borrowing and bonding activities.

· Rigorously adhering to accounting and financial processes to ensure precise financial reporting and control.

· Developing and implementing accountability systems and internal controls to prevent inaccuracies in financial documentation. Ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

· Establishing and maintaining credit reporting requirements for new clients, including setting credit limits and payment terms.

· Overseeing the preparation of monthly, annual, and other financial reports as needed.

Qualifications We Seek

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.

· Professional certification as a Certified Public Accountant is preferred.

· A minimum of several years of progressive experience in a controller role or a similar position, with prior accounting experience in the commercial construction industry being advantageous.

· In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and best practices.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel, and experience or willingness to learn Sage software.

· Demonstrated leadership abilities with the capacity to communicate effectively, inspire others, and uphold company values to achieve team objectives.

· Ability to maintain a positive demeanor, professional attitude, and perform effectively under project constraints and deadlines.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to ask insightful questions and approach problem-solving collaboratively.

· Proficient in data analysis, critical thinking, and problem resolution.

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks to achieve high-quality outcomes.

· A strong commitment to safety, believing that the health and safety of all employees is paramount.

· Willingness to undergo a background check and pass a drug test as part of the hiring process.
