The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure fiscal integrity and accountability in the management of state funds. This position will deliver financial oversight, controls, procurement, and ancillary support services in compliance with all applicable regulations and in a professional, courteous manner. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing petty cash accounts and processing local fund requests and checks.
- Reviewing budget submissions via Chrome River and handling travel reimbursement requests.
Candidates should possess a foundational understanding of basic accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in office procedures and equipment, including Microsoft Office software, is essential. The ability to perform detailed numerical work and execute arithmetic calculations accurately and swiftly is required. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate the capability to prepare standard financial reports and statements, as well as analyze transactions for compliance with established procedures, policies, and regulations. Effective oral and written communication skills are also necessary. Preferred Qualifications:
An educational background equivalent to a high school diploma, supplemented by basic accounting coursework and relevant accounting experience, or a comparable combination of training and experience is preferred.
