Job Title: North Shore Experience Manager

This is a key leadership role that oversees the development and implementation of Roberts Hawai'i North Shore Experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing adventure programs, customer experience, overall facilities, and supervising staff responsible for all aspects and activities of our North Shore Experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of guided tours and rentals departments, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and implementing best practices for each activity.
  2. Serve as Roberts Hawai'i operations support for all Camp Erdman events and activities sponsored by Roberts Hawai'i.
  3. Assist with the development and maintenance of activities, literature, documentation, and process handling requirements.
  4. Collaborate with the executive team to review, implement, and evaluate the North Shore Experience strategic plan.
  5. Represent the organization in local relationships with customers, government, and regulatory officials.
  6. Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage a team of activity coordinators, guides, and support staff, fostering a positive and collaborative team culture that prioritizes guest satisfaction and safety.
  7. Stewardship Initiatives: Develop, implement, and participate in stewardship efforts and initiatives supporting the overall mission of Roberts Hawaii and Camp Erdman YMCA.
  8. Guest Experience: Develop and implement programs to enhance the overall guest experience, ensuring memorable and enjoyable activities.
  9. Develop and manage group activities and events for all ages of guests.
  10. Consistently create, enhance, and develop existing recreation programs to include all ages and abilities.
  11. Customer/Vendor Relationships: Cultivate and maintain long-term, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders and selected organizations to achieve mutual goals.
  12. Vendor contract oversight, budget monitoring, and the development of operating standards.
  13. Develop an environment where community partners are engaged and committed to the success of collaborative goals set in conjunction with the North Shore Experience.
  14. Inventory and Equipment Management: Manage equipment and inventory for all activities, ensuring proper maintenance and timely replacement as needed.
  15. Financial Management: Develop and manage department budgets, ensuring financial goals are met.
  16. Lead the research, strategic planning, and financial management of program facility, equipment needs, risk management, and assessment for the delivery of the department's programs and services.
  17. Marketing and Promotion: Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to promote activities through various channels.
  18. Safety and Risk Management: Implement and enforce safety protocols to minimize risks associated with each activity.
Requirements:
  1. BA degree (or equivalent work experience). Equivalent work experience equitable to a minimum of 10 years of management level experience in a medium to large organization.
  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and negotiate effectively.
  3. Skilled in the use of computers and technology, with the ability to adapt to new systems and learn quickly.
  4. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Publisher).
  5. Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including holidays.
Working Conditions:

This role requires the ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time, with occasional exposure to hazards and atmospheric conditions.
