Job Summary

The Sales Account Executive plays a critical role in maintaining and growing relationships with assigned customers, while achieving sales and revenue goals. Reporting to the local Branch Manager, this professional is responsible for retaining existing business, expanding market share, introducing new products and services, and developing new relationships to increase Laufer's market share in the territory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Relationship Management
    • Retain customer volume, sales, and profitability through proactive stewardship of the firm's relationships with assigned customers.
    • Penetrate and expand relationships and revenue potential with assigned accounts by selling new or additional products or services, finding additional buyers and stakeholders, and selling additional customer locations.
  • Sales and Business Development
    • Sell and support the full suite of the firm's product and service offerings.
    • Develop and manage a robust pipeline of new opportunities to help increase Laufer's market share in the territory.
  • Customer Satisfaction and Service Delivery
    • Proactively manage customer satisfaction and service delivery by anticipating potential service problems, monitoring satisfaction, and recommending process and delivery improvements.
  • Collaboration and Support
    • Support and actively participate in all aspects of the sales process, and call upon others to assist in solution development and proposal delivery, as needed.
    • Direct joint customer planning efforts in assigned accounts.
  • Accountabilities and Performance Measures
    • Achieve assigned sales and revenue budgets.
    • Meet assigned expectations for profitability.
    • Achieve customer retention and growth targets.
    • Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings that meet company standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of freight forwarding sales experience.
