Job Summary

Sigma Health Rehab is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team in a Skilled Nursing facility. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients with respiratory illnesses and diseases, as well as providing functional therapeutic activities to assist residents in improving their experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to maintain and progress the rehab patients with various respiratory illnesses and diseases.
  • Initiates therapies, maintains patient records, operates, checks, and assembles equipment.
  • Completes a variety of bedside treatments, including oxygen weaning therapy, omniflow – biofeedback, group respiratory therapy, and standardized respiratory testing.
  • Completes in-services for nursing staff every quarter and is responsible for completing daily, weekly, and monthly documentation.
  • Attends applicable IDT meetings and has experience with tracheotomy and long-term care settings.
  • Follows procedure and protocol of the facility and completes tracking, auditing, and caseload management.
  • Performs related duties as required.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program.
  • Licensed as RRT or CRT.
  • Licensed in the state in which practicing.
  • BLS certification.
Work Environment

This is a full-time or per diem position with a competitive hourly rate of $35.00. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with the geriatric population and be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision.
