Atlantic Health System is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to patients with cardiopulmonary system deficiencies and abnormalities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate patient prescriptions and determine the most suitable method of administering inhalants.
  • Render aerosol medications and treatments to patients for inhalation.
  • Position patients to assist in breathing and prevent lung obstruction.
  • Set up and operate devices to support respiration and maintain patient's oxygen supply.
  • Monitor patient's physiological responses to therapy.
  • Perform chest physiotherapy on patients to remove mucus from their lungs.
  • Assist in the performance of diagnostic testing.
  • Consult with physicians in event of adverse reactions.
  • Maintain patient's chart and inspect and test respiratory therapy equipment.

Requirements:

  • Associate of Science degree from an accredited respiratory therapist program.
  • Minimum 1+ years of Respiratory Care experience.
  • Credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • Active license for Respiratory Therapy in New Jersey.
