Job Title: Fatherhood Program Coordinator

Join the University of Tennessee's College of Social Work as a Fatherhood Program Coordinator, a pivotal role focused on providing support, resources, and guidance to direct service professionals working with fathers who owe child support.

Job Summary:

The Fatherhood Program Coordinator will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing a comprehensive program encompassing effective strategies for employment support, parenting skills development, child support resources and guidance, and fostering healthy parent-child relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage a program to provide support to fathers who owe child support, including employment support, parenting skills development, and child support resources and guidance.
  • Collaborate with direct service professionals, child support agencies, and community partners to streamline service delivery and maximize the program's impact.
  • Design and deliver training, coaching, and mentoring to professionals working directly with fathers, including guidance on navigating child support systems, effective communication, motivational interviewing, and conflict resolution.
  • Conduct comprehensive needs assessments to identify areas for support and intervention, and develop strategies to address these needs.
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with local employers, workforce development agencies, child support enforcement organizations, and other relevant community stakeholders to promote the program and create referral pathways.
  • Analyze program data to track participant outcomes in the areas of employment, child support compliance, parenting involvement, and well-being, and utilize data insights to inform decision-making and identify areas for continuous improvement.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Service, Psychology, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience working with fathers in a social service, child support, or workforce development capacity.
  • Proven track record in program design, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Experience in training, coaching, or mentoring service professionals.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Human Service, Psychology, or a related field.
  • 10 years of experience with direct service program planning, coordination, and supervision.
  • Strong cultural competency and commitment to serving diverse populations.
