Job Title: Program Coordinator

The Institute for a Secure and Sustainable Environment at the University of Tennessee is seeking a highly skilled Program Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in coordinating ISSE programming, working closely with faculty, staff, students, and administrators to build and coordinate programming in teaching, research, and extension.

Key Responsibilities:
  • 50% Research Collaboration: Identify funding opportunities, facilitate team forming, and support proposal development to advance ISSE research and initiatives.
  • 15% Outreach Coordination: Develop and coordinate outreach programming, including community outreach, educational outreach, and international outreach, to promote ISSE's mission and goals.
  • 30% Event Planning and Support: Manage logistics for events and workshops, including coordination of speakers and venues, and development of event descriptions, invitations, and agendas.
  • 5% Communications and Administration: Manage updates to ISSE Program websites and develop internal and external communication materials to promote ongoing programming.
Qualifications:
  • Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, education, or a STEM field, with 2 years of experience working in an international setting and supporting proposal development and team forming.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Excellent understanding of global energy, environment, and natural resource use, ability to support proposal development and team forming, and high level of skill in cross-cultural competence.
Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Master's degree in business, marketing, education, or a STEM field, with experience working with diverse communities in the United States and on international projects with large teams.
