Key Responsibilities:
  • Thoroughly review contracts and specifications
  • Support the Project Manager, Project Superintendent, and fellow Project Engineers as needed
  • Aid in the preparation and updates of project schedules
  • Assist with quantity reporting, project budgeting, and financial forecasting
  • Gather pricing from subcontractors and suppliers, including change orders
  • Request equipment and material deliveries as necessary
  • Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and the workforce to address project challenges and conflicts
  • Contribute to monthly billing, cash flow forecasts, and change order management
  • Oversee document control, including submittal schedules, contract documents, and project record drawings
  • Verify the accuracy of daily reports from Heavy Job
  • Prepare and maintain lists for technical submittals, NPDES permits, Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans, and Project Progress Schedules as required
  • Adhere to notice requirements for inspections, survey staking, joint measurements with owners and/or engineers, utility locations and adjustments, testing, claims, etc.
  • Communicate with subcontractors and vendors regarding revisions to plans and/or specifications that impact products or services
  • Assist in project closeout activities
  • Execute additional tasks as directed by the Project Manager
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Construction Engineering and Management (CEM)
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and Primavera 6
