Job Title: Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team at Softworld, a Kelly Company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance engineering and a proven track record of delivering high-quality products.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day quality assurance engineering support to all areas of the company, including manufacturing, engineering, product development, procurement, and product assurance.
  • Resolve production issues in a timely manner to support the on-time and cost-efficient shipment of quality products.
  • Establish and maintain quality planning procedures to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Ensure that performance and quality products conform to established standards and are properly documented.
  • Investigate and resolve quality issues and discrepancies, including cross-functional teams and communication with suppliers and customers.
  • Understand customer performance and quality requirements and communicate them to relevant parties.
  • Perform internal audits of department processes and procedures.
  • Analyze and investigate the root cause of non-conforming product deficiencies.
  • Review and approve engineering change notices, manufacturing processes, and SOPs to ensure compliance.
  • Plan, monitor, and track product qualification testing per customer specifications or internal procedures.
  • Contribute technical input and material and labor cost estimates in support of business opportunities and proposals.
  • Perform source inspections at vendor sites and support customer source inspections at Softworld, as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in an appropriate engineering field, industrial engineering, mathematics/statistics, or applied sciences is desired.
  • Minimum 7 years of related quality assurance engineering experience.
  • Knowledge of quality, military, and industry standards AS9100, MIL-PRF-38534, MIL-STD-883, and/or IPC-A-610 is desired.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, analyze, articulate, and present technical information in written and verbal forms.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop excellent working relationships with management, customers, and vendors.
  • Excellent project and time management skills.

Work Environment:

  • This position requires access to a cleanroom environment. Employees must adhere to company procedures to promote a low level of airborne environmental pollutants.
  • The cleanroom area is accessed via an air shower, wearing an ESD lab coat and hair net.
