Job Summary

This role is an integral member of an agile scrum team responsible for writing, executing, analyzing, and testing software products to build scalable applications across all digital channels to serve customers. The incumbent will take a software quality and customer view of software solutions to enable developers to build high-quality applications that meet product vision. The incumbent and team will be involved in every aspect of the SDLC process, from idea generation to business analysis, UX design, and rigorous testing against industry standards for quality assurance, traceability, and compliance. The incumbent requires technical acumen to develop and execute test automation code as part of ongoing regression testing standards. Test engineers are expected to participate in refining the CICD process, code reviews, and manual testing. The incumbent will act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and resolving questions from other test engineers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with software engineers, product analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements surrounding new or enhanced features.
  • Write test case documents, test plan documents, and test results that adhere to SOC2 standards.
  • Perform peer reviews of testing artifacts.
  • Acquire, manipulate, or create test data needed for software quality assurance.
  • Mentor junior test engineers in this capacity.
  • Participate in all scrum ceremonies, assist in sprint planning, and complete required sprints in the development through final execution of software applications/programs.
  • Communicate any issues or blockers to the Scrum Master in a timely manner.
  • Help in story creation, including DoD, Acceptance Criteria, estimation, and task creation in RTC or Jira.
  • Monitor work against production schedule and provide progress updates and report any issues or impediments to senior analysts/principals on a regular basis.
  • Develop and execute test automation code as part of ongoing regression testing standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, or a closely related field.
  • 5 years of writing test artifacts that adhere to SOC2 standards.
  • 1 year of developing test automation software according to coding and industry best practices.
  • 1 year of mentoring junior Test Engineers at some levels of job responsibility.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 years of hands-on experience in different types of testing, including Functional Testing, UI Testing, Integration Testing, Negative Testing, Database Testing, API Testing, and Regression Testing.
  • 2 years of experience with one or more Test management tools.
  • 2 years of experience in working on Cloud platform-based applications and understanding Cloud concepts.
  • 2 years of developing test automation software according to coding and industry best practices.
