Job Overview

The Production Manager will be responsible for the comprehensive oversight of engineering design-build initiatives from the initial planning stages through to final delivery. This role necessitates collaboration with diverse teams, management of project timelines, adherence to budget constraints, and upholding exceptional standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning and Management:
  • Craft detailed project outlines, encompassing scope, timelines, resources, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Establish project goals and deliverables, ensuring alignment with the proposed scope and organizational objectives.
  • Oversee project execution, ensuring compliance with schedules and budgets while driving teams towards achieving set objectives.
  1. Team Leadership:
  • Inspire and guide project teams, including engineers, designers, and technicians.
  • Encourage effective communication and collaboration among team members to facilitate successful project execution.
  • Address and resolve any conflicts or challenges that may arise within the team.
  1. Budget and Resource Oversight:
  • Develop and manage project budgets, focusing on cost estimation, allocation, and tracking.
  • Ensure optimal use of resources and materials, managing procurement as necessary.
  1. Risk Assessment:
  • Identify potential risks associated with projects and formulate mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor and address any issues or changes impacting project scope, timelines, or costs.
  1. Quality Control:
  • Adhere to established processes within an ISO 9001:2015 certified quality management framework and comply with engineering best practices.
  • Conduct regular evaluations and audits to assess project progress and performance.
  1. Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Act as the primary liaison for project stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Provide consistent updates and reports on project status, including progress, challenges, and resolutions.
  1. Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain thorough project documentation, including plans, reports, and correspondence.
  • Prepare and present project status reports and final deliverables to senior management and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, management, or a related field; PMP certification is advantageous.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years in project management within engineering, automation, or custom equipment manufacturing.
  • Skills:
    • Proficient project management capabilities, including the development and management of detailed project plans.
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project).
    • Robust analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge:
    • Understanding of budgeting, financial management, and risk management principles.
    • Familiarity with engineering methodologies and best practices is preferred.

Working Conditions:

  • Primarily an office environment, with collaboration required in internal or customer manufacturing settings.
  • May necessitate occasional travel for meetings with suppliers or clients.
