Position Overview

WK Dickson is looking for a collaborative Project Engineer with expertise in municipal water and wastewater design. The Project Engineer is essential in ensuring successful project execution, assisting project managers with a variety of design tasks that necessitate a deep understanding of civil engineering principles, hydraulics, pumping systems, and water/wastewater treatment processes. This role will also involve supporting project managers with mathematical analyses, preparing project documentation, reports, specifications, permit applications, and overseeing bidding and construction administration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct complex design tasks related to municipal water and wastewater systems.
  • Assist in the preparation and production of project plans, studies, and reports.
  • Collaborate effectively with project teams, supervisors, and clients to ensure project success.
  • Engage in technical writing for memorandums, reports, and specifications.
  • Participate in the design, permitting, and bidding processes for municipal infrastructure projects.
  • Support construction administration and observation efforts as needed.
  • Travel to project sites as required to fulfill job responsibilities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • At least 6 years of consulting experience, with a Professional Engineer (PE) license required (reciprocity acceptable within 3 months).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Preferred experience in technical writing and municipal water/wastewater project design.
  • Ability to travel as necessary for project requirements.
