Position Overview

WK Dickson is in search of a collaborative Project Engineer with expertise in municipal water and wastewater system design. Project Engineers are essential to the successful execution of projects, assisting project managers by undertaking standard, intricate, and unique design responsibilities that necessitate a deep understanding of civil engineering principles, hydraulics, pumping systems, and water/wastewater treatment processes. This role will also involve supporting project managers with mathematical analyses, preparation of project documentation, studies, reports, specifications, permit submissions, bidding processes, and construction oversight.

Key Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline is required.
  • At least 6 years of experience in consulting and a Professional Engineer (PE) license is mandatory (reciprocity within 3 months is acceptable).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential for working effectively with project teams, supervisors, and clients.
  • Preferred experience in technical writing, including the preparation of memorandums, reports, and specifications.
  • Experience in the design, permitting, and bidding processes for municipal water and wastewater pipelines, pump stations, and treatment facilities is advantageous.
  • Experience in Construction Administration or Observation is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel as required to project sites is necessary.
