Role Responsibilities

As an integral member of AESC US LLC, you will contribute to our mission of leading comprehensive battery solutions for a sustainable future. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, your contributions within the Global Industrial Development will directly influence our strategic objectives and reinforce our status as a leader in battery technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fire Protection Management: Act as the primary contact for assigned projects regarding all design-related inquiries, providing technical expertise from project inception through design, construction, and turnover phases. Oversee project management to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and quality standards. Engage with local authorities as necessary for permitting and inspections.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform regular quality control assessments to ensure compliance and rectify any deficiencies. Conduct QAQC reviews of project deliverables at various stages (30%, 60%, 90%, IFC) to ensure compliance with design standards, codes, and client specifications.
  • Client and Team Collaboration: Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, addressing their needs with exceptional service. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers from various disciplines, stakeholders, and contractors to develop comprehensive project plans and design strategies. Participate in project meetings and provide updates on project status and recommendations.
  • Construction Oversight: Conduct site visits to monitor project progress, quality, and compliance with design standards. Address construction-related issues and change orders, making informed decisions that balance design intent and project goals.
  • Contract Management: Assist in drafting and negotiating contracts with contractors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering is required.
  • Registered Fire Protection Engineer (PE) is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience managing capital development projects in medical, industrial, or laboratory settings throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Proven experience in:
    • Life Safety and Means of Egress code analysis.
    • Interfacing with authorities for permitting and inspections.
    • Hazardous materials analysis.
    • High-pile storage design and analysis.
    • Fire suppression system design.
    • Fire alarm system design.
  • Familiarity with Type I or Type II construction types.
  • Knowledge of IBC, IFC, and NFPA standards.
  • Experience in electric vehicle or battery manufacturing is preferred.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of IATF16949 and ISO14001 standards.
Travel Requirements

Domestic and international travel of 20 – 50% is expected.
