Job Summary

Spurwink Services is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate clinician to join our ShifaME program as a School-Based Mental Health Clinician. This is a unique opportunity to work with a diverse population of immigrants, refugees, and forcibly displaced children and families impacted by traumatic stress.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and family therapy services to clients using the Trauma Systems Therapy adapted for refugees (TST-r) model.
  • Collaborate with ShifaME Cultural Brokers/Care Coordinators to deliver mental health services and support clients in achieving their goals.
  • Conduct psychosocial assessments, treatment planning, and provide updates on treatment progress for managed care entries.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and electronic record keeping.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration and networking to ensure comprehensive support for clients.
Requirements
  • Licensed in the state of Maine or eligible for licensure as an LMSW-cc, LCSW, LCPC-c, or LCPC.
  • Strong understanding of trauma-informed care and the TST-r model.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
