Mental Health Nurse

About the Role:
The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Psych Services department is an essential member of the patient care team, responsible for direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process in all assigned areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and periodically update individualized, interdisciplinary plans of care
- Evaluate patient outcomes and identify available resources for patients
- Provide care to patients age 5 and up with psychiatric illnesses, including those with a need for medical care
- Manage stress appropriately and make decisions under pressure
- Provide coverage 24 hours/day, 7 days/week
Requirements:
- Associates degree required
- Valid State of Maine RN license
- BLS Certification required
- CPI training must be current prior to start
- At least 1 year previous experience in mental health nursing required
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Flexibility required
