Position Overview:

The Licensed Practical Nurse plays a crucial role in planning, executing, and supervising nursing services for assigned residents. This includes adhering to quality care standards, facility policies, legal requirements, medical practices, and physician directives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively plans and delivers professional care tailored to the needs of residents and the evolving medical landscape.
  • Maintains professionalism in all interactions with residents, healthcare providers, families, colleagues, and support staff.
  • Accurately documents essential information related to resident care.
  • Administers prescribed medications and ensures precise record-keeping in accordance with facility policies.

Qualifications:

  • Valid state nursing license in good standing (or in the process of becoming a registered nurse).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of nursing practices, medical procedures, and long-term care regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Collaborative team player with prior experience in long-term care preferred.

Additional Expectations:

All Licensed Practical Nurse positions require weekend on-call availability to support both staff and residents. Per diem staff are expected to fulfill weekend shifts monthly to meet operational requirements.
