Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Biomedical Technician 3 to join our team at the University of Miami UHealth/SoLé Mia. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art facility, providing top-notch care to patients and advancing the field of biomedical technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and repair of complex biomedical equipment
  • Provide technical guidance and training to junior technicians and subordinate staff
  • Inspect incoming equipment for compliance with codes, standards, and manufacturer recommendations
  • Order parts and supplies necessary for equipment servicing
  • Update medical equipment technical library with new versions
  • Adhere to University and unit-level policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Associate Degree in relevant field
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Attitudes:
    • Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail
    • Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines
    • Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion
    • Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary
    • Commitment to the University's core values
    • Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment
